This gold ring has a hinged top inset with a large Lapis stone. The top of the ring swings open to reveal a small compartment, which can be used to store a lethal substance. A carved scroll design encircles the top at the outer edges of the ring. The front of the ring has an openwork scroll design inset with an amber stone. The sides of the ring have a scrolled openwork design as well. Worn by Lucinda Bromley, a woman with a paranormal botanical talent who was rumored to have poisoned her fiancé.
