Rani Cameron, a beautiful intelligent woman, quits her job in
Dallas and moves to Albuquerque to buy her sister's store Miniature World.
She had worked for Prescott Enterprises in P.R. work, but when she found out she
would never move up in the company because she was a woman, Rani decided
to change careers. Rani's first encounter with Gage Fletcher is over a
miniature battle that she is setting up. Gage is there to bring Rani back
to Dallas and is prepared to get her there any way he can. Gage is a
handsome man with a mission: to get Rani to go back to Dallas and to get
her into his bed.
Their attraction to each other is evident even though
Rani will not acknowledge that Gage is like her and that he is perfect for
her. She sees him as a domineering man who cares only for what he wants.
She fights him and her feelings for him until the night that he kisses
her. Rani then must face the fact that what she has known all along is
true. She wants Gage to take her in his arms and love her. Gage uses the
miniature battles to teach Rani discipline in battle. The battle that they
will ultimately wage is the one of desire and mutual satisfaction. Once
Gage sets his mind to something he doesn't give up. He wants Rani and he's
going to have her. Getting her back to Dallas is one step and the other is
her in his bed. Once she belongs to him, no other will ever touch her,
because she will be his forever. An excellent read and a wonderfully
written story with romance and combat of wills. In the end the battle is
won by both parties.
